Self Transfer

Usually, the best way to reach the Porto city center is using the Metro do Porto connection.

The line E (Aeroporto – Estádio do Dragão) takes about 30 minutes from the Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport to the city centre. The maximum waiting time is 30 minutes.
The single travel ticket to the city centre (Z4) costs 1.85€, but if you don’t have a Blue Andante Card yet, you will need to buy one (0.60€). The Blue Andante Card is rechargeable.

Alternatively, you can by an Andante Tour (non-rechargeable) that will be valid for 24 or 72 hours after the first validation and costs 7 and 15€, respectively. Andante Tickets are multimodal tickets, valid on all Metro do Porto lines, STCP Buses, other selected bus lines (Resende, Espírito Santo, Maia Transportes, Valpi, MGC, ETG, Nogueira da Costa e Auto Viação Pacense) and CP urban trains (stations between Espinho, Valongo and Travagem).

Please be aware that you must validate the Andante Card before every boarding! Lack of validation is subject to penalty.
You can buy your Andante Card at the vending machines in the metro station or at Tourist Information Office in the Airport.
